“It’s Okay to Make Bad Art”
This was the first painting I made after feeling completely stuck. I’d been putting so much pressure on myself to create the perfect collection, and it became overwhelming. I kept overthinking every decision and second-guessing every mark.

Writing “it’s okay to make bad art” directly onto the canvas was a turning point. It gave me permission to let go of the pressure and just start. It was a reminder to myself that creating isn't always about perfection, it's about showing up, pushing through, and being honest.

That one statement helped me reconnect with the joy and rawness of making art. It sparked this collection and reminded me why I paint in the first place.
