“Forced to Disconnect” This piece is where it all began. This piece represents the moment I realized I needed to let go of the pressure to get everything right, both in art and in life. Drawing this portrait upside down stripped away my need for control. I couldn’t focus on the face, the identity, or even the outcome. All I could do was place black where I saw black, and light where I saw light. It became a practice in presence, quieting the mind and letting the image emerge naturally. Like life, sometimes the clearest picture only makes sense when we stop trying to force it. This piece is about breaking free from expectation and finding power in the silence of the creative flow.
